"Shop til drop"
Quote from Malaysia Mega Sales perhaps? Can't really remember which shopping mall used this.
"Shop til broke"
My quote.
Nono. Don't get me wrong. I will never ever shop til I got no money left in my purse or bank account. It doesn't worth. =)
Number, thing that I am not excel in. But I always think thrice or more before I spend every dollar or Ringgit. Sometimes, I wish I don't have to look at the price tag and just grab whatever I am fond of. =p
If you ever spent like that, means you are either spoiled and don't know how hard it is to earn money or your family prints money. *grin*
Ok, be rational. No matter how much you spent, how much you shopped, how many dresses/gadgets/tops/pants you bought, it will never be enough. Am I right? Haha..
Why do I keep wanting to buy more and more when I already owned a wardrobe full of clothes? Greed? Desires? Trends? Feeling of buying things? Too much money? LOL~
It seems a bit ridiculous when some people have too much of clothes that they don't even manage to wear them before they are out of trend, while some people don't even have proper dressings. So, what is the point?
I guess it is an instinct for every human-being wish to dress the best. But it is a habit for human-being to buy more than they need. It is highly unlikely that buying dress is just like squirrels storing nuts for winter. We buy just because we want them not because we need that.
I am not saying as if I never overspent or bought thing just because I wanted it. We all have the impulsive when we see things we really like. (: Personally, I like the feeling of buying things. LOL~ But I control myself. Look at those crowded fashion outlets with BIG sign of "50%/70% off", I always wonder if those things were all free. If not, why would those people squeeze here and there among others just to grab something out from the mess. My perception is that sellers usually will mark up the prices before giving out 50%/70% discount. Else, do you think sellers will still earn during sales period? Good catch! =)
Many people judge others by appearance, more to exact clothing as well. It is just like when you see someone wearing 70's pants/tops, likely you will be saying " OMG! How dare she/he wear like that and come out of the room/house?" or "That girl/guy really no fashion sense." May be you are laughing them in your heart too. I guess this is one of the reasons people don't stop shopping unless they are really poor or financially unstable. To avoid being the "not-good attraction" of others, basically you have to start going out to shop and follow up the trends. Sometimes heard friends commented on others saying "Why you dress so like auntie?" What is your definition by wearing like auntie? Does that mean when 40 years old Mdm dresses like 20years old teen, then she is "young" and "in"? "You always wear the same shirt." What's wrong with wearing shirt wore before? Is not like I never wash my shirt. Don't tell me you only wear your shirt once.
Haha.. Don't misunderstand. I am not telling story of any particular personal or myself. But things like these do occur.
God-know what will be the next fashion trend. Perhaps the next day you wake up, the fashion turns out to be 70's again. *wink* So, who is out-dated now? LOL~
I don't hate shopping. Obviously. I will love to do that if I have extra money. :) I am just feeling we need to learn spending wisely and stop shopping for the sake of shopping. Don't get so excited when you see the 50% off sign. Dressing is about appropriation, is not about following trend blindly. Shopping can be a mean to destress, a piece of dress that you like should be your dessert not poison to your purse. =) *lame*
My post really can range from this to that. =) Don't really care about it anyway.
To conclude this, I finally got the thing I wanted so much today. LOL~ A gift before school starts tomorrow.
Happy shopping everyone for you CNY!
